Congratulations to NDSEG Fellow Aaron Schinder for his successful completion of the Aerospace Engineering Ph.D. Qualifying Examinations!Aaron received a B.S. in Astronautical Engineering from Purdue University in December 2006. He was commissioned an Air Force officer through Purdue’s AFROTC Detachment 220 and served in the Air Force from Dec 2006 through Jan 2011. From Feb 2007 through Jan 2011, he worked as a research engineer at Air Force Research Lab in Albuquerque NM. Aaron has strong interest in learning about all aspects of spacecraft propulsion, especially electric propulsion, due to the ability to manipulate the working fluid under conditions not achievable with a direct interface, and ability to achieve higher specific impulses than chemical propulsion affords. -
