We are excited to welcome Dr. Dan Lev to the Georgia Tech High-Power Electric Propulsion Laboratory!
We are excited to welcome Dr. Dan Lev to the Georgia Tech High-Power Electric Propulsion Laboratory as our new Research Engineer! Before he arrived at Georgia Tech, he held a position at Rafael, Israel, where he conducted research and developed Hall thruster-based propulsion systems for spacecraft. Dr. Lev served as the technical authority in the design and development of two low-power Hall thrusters, participated in the testing phase and on-orbit analysis of the successful Venus satellite mission, developed and patented heaterless hollow cathode technology, and conducted the initial design of the SAMSON nano-satellites propulsion system. He also served as the instructor of the electric propulsion course at the Technion – Israel Institute of Technology. These experiences are a perfect fit for our academic research in electric propulsion! Dr. Lev received his Ph.D. from Princeton University in 2012, where he studied MPD thrusters and PPTs. He is a member of the AIAA Electric Propulsion Technical Committee and was recently promoted to AIAA Associate Fellow.
